The Gourmet Tea 1

The Gourmet Tea is a design idea of a longue store with simple and economic but chic design. Located in San Paulo, Brazil, the store design was handled by Alan Chu with the inspiration from the colorful tins of the teahouse. The architect was challenged to make the formerly small house to be a simple but nice store design.

The small house was then refurbished as well to be a nice store design; the brick walls were painted in white so that the structure visible. The roof was lowered so that the space will not look too long and narrow for the beams interference. Besides, the old floor was maintained to make perfect the store design.

The store design was completed by plywood furniture with colorful adhesive finishing. Colorful lamps also bring fun into the teahouse combining the simplicity of the store design. All of the teahouse parts including store, balcony, tidbits, box, and production area are gathered into such small space. The chic store design gives nice atmosphere to enjoy some tea in the simple space. via
