The Weaving Studio is owned by a professional weaver that wanted to have a work studio, office, works gallery, meeting room, as well as some guestrooms behind her house in San Juan Island, Washington. Then, the studio is situated behind her house on a steep rocky lot; facing the waterfront views. Designed by Prentiss Architects, the studio becomes a nice workspace, office, and guesthouse for the well designed architecture.
The project result is a nice studio that gets much natural light completed by display area with beautiful views. The studio is also completed by foldable area consisting bathroom and wet room. Meanwhile, the guest room and sewing room are placed on the back of the studio closed to the hill. Some sliding panels were designed inside the studio as storage cabinets or as display panels of weaving projects. via
