Ski House H2o is a dream house for the persons who like to spend the time in a water activity especially ski. Located in Hobe Sound, Florida, Hughes Umbanhowar Architects designed the ski house and completed with the artificial lake and it can be used for water skiing or slalom course racing. Moreover this place also has a great natural view.
The ski house design is so simple but homey. It is suitable for someone who like a precious natural house but inexpensive and low maintenance. How come? Simple because there are three areas in this ski house, they are; guest wing, public spaces, master bedroom. It is also friendly with environment because the ski house was made special roof from the metal in order to support circulation movement and beside that this roof can decrease the use of mechanically air conditioning.
For the material, the ski house was built with simple one such as corrugated roof SIP panels, concrete floor, Stucco over insulated concrete form blocks, board form concrete wall finish, aluminum clad windows, cloth roll down shades make for simple and lean construction. via
