The Intense City is a compact housing in Groningen, The Netherlands, designed by Architectenbureau Marlies Rohmer as a living space for young people as well as starters. The compact housing is specially designed for the urban area in order to load more inhabitants in a smaller space of land. Therefore, the Intense City compact housing becomes an intimate place for meeting in the crucial location.
The intense City is not only as a compact housing, but also has designed as a space for commercial on the ground floor, working, and recreation with universal floor plan. The architecture of the public living space was well designed as a sustainable and durable building. It can be seen that the compact housing has a generic shells that can hold the building well. Besides, the shells also give special character for the building so that the compact housing looks amazing with the architecture design. via
