Rocco Design Architects was inspired by Chinese culture antique in the Museum of concept . Guangdong Museum is one of four major cultural landmark building for the new financial center in Zhujiang Xincheng (Pearl River New Town), Guangzhou. Rocco Design Architects Ltd. announced the winners of an international invited competition in May 2004 and was subsequently appointed as the architect of the project design. Five-floor museum has a total floor area of ??approximately 67,000 square meters

This new museum is not only designed to house a variety of interesting objects from the property, also in itself is designed as an object of great attraction worth pondering become a cultural icon identified, giving visitors an impressive tour of the province’s history and local experience and traditional knowledge as well as contributing to the improvement appreciation and cultural identity of the city.

spatial Museum’s taking inspiration from the legendary ball concentric ivory carvings. Each carving slices through the box and reveal the different layers and different levels of transparency in the interior, forming a spatial pattern attract and captivate visitors through the exhibits inside. Interwoven bags of interior space also reveal complex relationships between the visual and physical connection and separation of the atrium hall, exhibition space of individuals and the rear-area-home service.

This setting is intentional not only strengthen the clarity and coherence of the concept of the treasure-box, but also allows flexibility in the planning and operation of all exhibition space.
