This office of Buhrmann & Partners is just a small office built on 1500sqm area of a Klein Windhoek residential. To build the office, the existing house was pulled down but the immaculate garden was maintained based on the client’s request. Besides, the client also required off shutter concrete and water element introduction for the new office.

Geometric clarity and the simplicity were applied on the office building design. A long and large concrete beam is installed as axis that differentiates the visitor and staff approach as well as separating the zones of administrative and production. The beam is also functioned to unify kinds of the single storeyed office components and parking area in a single architectural unit.

Natural lighting is gotten from the clerestory windows on the south and north of the office. The glazed façade where individual offices and discussion nodes are attached gives the garden view. A linear water element is built to separate the building and the garden as well as providing security with the additional fence. The curved office wall is finished in bright colors for fierce west sun protecting and giving visual relief and movement. via
